Base Camp at Golden Gate Canyon…One Year Later

On May 1, 2014, I walked in the front door of what used to be Dory Hill Campground, took a long look around and wasn’t exactly sure where to begin. I had that “deer in the headlights” kind of look. “Give me a project” were the words I uttered to my husband, Tom, but he was busy on hold with the phone company trying to switch the service over. I walked around the counter, opened a drawer near the cash register and started emptying the contents out onto the counter. Organizing and cleaning that drawer…that was my first project.
