Summer Program Camps and Practice

Gilpin County Middle and High School’s football teams and other athletes are preparing for their next season. Many middle and high school students have been attending camps and activities throughout the summer. The Gilpin High School boy’s football program started their summer by attending the Colorado School of Mines Prospect Camp. The camp was held on the college’s football field on June 21st down in Golden. It was a one day event and there were about 200 football players from all over the country in attendance. Volleyball and basketball athletes have also been attending camps during the summer. With many of Gilpin’s students participating in multiple sports, these athletes have been very busy improving their skills during the summer.
