May 24, 1991 – December 11, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cody Robert Allen. Cody was born on May 24, 1991 in Wheat Ridge, CO and passed away on December 11, 2020 at the age of 29 in his hometown of Central City, CO. Cody was an amazing human. He was kind, honest, and hardworking. He was always willing to help his family and friends and was active in his community. Cody had multiple jobs in his short life, but his dream job was to be a firefighter. He began his firefighter career in 2006 as a Jr. Volunteer Firefighter for Central City Fire Department (CCFD). Through hard work and perseverance, his dream came true in 2019 when he became the first full-time paid firefighter for CCFD.

Cody passed away alongside his beautiful wife, Shelby Allen and their two dogs Daisy Mae and Dixie Lou, in a tragic home accident. He is survived by his parents Lowell Allen and Gina Bailey, stepfather Steve Bailey, grandmother Glenda Allen, siblings Steven Armbright, Brett Allen, Rebecka Allen, Aubrey Allen, two nieces Natalie and Brooklyn, nephew Hatcher, four uncles, two of which Cody was the closest with are Gary and Steve Allen, two aunts Susie Allen and Jennifer Mills, as well as cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfather Robert Allen and grandmother Sandra Mills.
