Surveys needed from businesses and residents to establish need for high-speed internet in the county
PRESS RELEASE – Gilpin County announces the kickoff of the Broadband Planning Grant in collaboration with Clear Creek County and funded by the Colorado Department of Local Affairs. Gilpin County held its kickoff meetings on December 1, 2016 with stakeholders throughout the county including local emergency responders, Gilpin County RE-1School, information technology professionals from the casinos and county, United Power, Black Hawk and Central City managers and IT staff, and an evening meeting at the community center with our residents.
NEO Connect is the company who has been contracted to perform the study which will be countywide and include inventorying our current assets and working with local businesses and residents. One of the critical components to this broadband study is completion of two surveys that have links below. One is geared for residents and the other for businesses. For those people who are involved in both, please complete both surveys. They only take about 10 minutes and the information will be invaluable to NEO Connect and the counties as we work on achieving our goal of available strong broadband to all.
