Gilpin Boys Basketball action Thursday, February 21

The Gilpin County boys’ basketball team encountered rough going in their final three games of the regular season. The Eagles lost to Nederland 64-25 in a non-conference game, to Jim Elliot 71-35, and Shining Mountain 82-18 in 5280 League games. As a result, they will open the playoff tournament with an encounter with last place Denver Waldorf Spartans at the GCHS gym this Thursday at 5:00 p.m. This game will determine who occupies the final tournament seed, with the winner jumping off with Denver Jewish Day School next week.
