Mary Louise Steele, 68, Arvada passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 in her home. Born on June 27, 1950 in Colorado she was the daughter of Rosemary A. (Miller) and Fred L. Dornbrock. Mary married Shawn Steele on September 21, 1996 and together they shared 23 years of marriage. Mary spent most of her life in Central City, before moving to Arvada 13 years ago. She worked in her mother’s antique shop in Central City before becoming a shift supervisor at a local casino.
Mary enjoyed tending to her many flowers, taking care of her dogs and cat. She also enjoyed Avalanche hockey, taking her granddaughter Katlyn to the games making sure she was dressed to the nines. Later, she traveled to games to watch her grandson Layne, “the big guy” play football.
