Wayde Hodgson remembered…

WadeHodgson_obitOctober 11, 1959 – April 9, 2015

Wayde (Scott) Hodgson was born October 11, 1959 in Boulder, Colorado and resided in the beautiful mountains of Gilpin County where he loved to be with his wife Michele (Patti) Hodgson of 20 years. He went to school in Louisville, Colorado. As a child he spent a lot of his time in the Nederland area, as his grandmother owned the Old Silver Dollar Restaurant. Scott was only 56 when he passed away on April 9th, 2015 of a sudden heart attack. He owned and operated Scott Hodgson Stucco & Stone business for 30 years. He was a true artist which showed in each custom home and business he worked on. He was known as the stucco guy in the local and construction community. Scott was a hard-working man with a kind soul who was loved by so many. Scott had a very special relationship with his wife Patti, and he never missed Friday date night with her. Scott is survived by his wife, Michele (Patti) Hodgson of Black Hawk, Colorado: his mother, Joan Hodgson: sister Cheryl Lewis: brother Richard Hodgson all of Lafayette, Colorado: brother Dave Hodgson residing in Indiana: two nephews, two nieces and two grand nephews. Scott will be missed considerably by his family, friends, and everyone he came in contact with.

As you can imagine, the loss of a husband, sole mate and supporter can be overwhelming for Scott’s wife Patti. You may know Patti as the first friendly face you see first thing in the morning at B&F Mountain Market in Nederland, where she has worked for over 20 years. She has helped so many people in the community as the GM & HBC manager. There has been a memorial fund set up at www.giveforward.com to help Patti with the medical bills and a beautiful memorial which will be set up at a later date.
