The 11th annual Black Hawk 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb was hosted by the Ameristar Casino Hotel Spa on Wednesday, September 11, 2019. The City of Black Hawk Fire Department was honored to be part of the outpouring of commemoration around the country in hopes to provide a source of comfort and fraternity for those who lost loved ones and to the living victims that continue to struggle with serious 9/11-related illnesses. Donations received during this memorial event benefit the programs of the FDNY Counseling Services Unit and the programs offered by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) that support the families of our nation’s fallen firefighters.
