Returning to a more normal 6-day open schedule
By Michael Carlson
Starting March 20th the Gilpin County Public Library will be expanding operating hours. In order to better serve our patrons, the Library will be offer more evening hours along with reopening on Saturdays. The passage of the ballot initiative this past November along with the county achieving Level Blue on the state’s COVID dial has allowed us to start hiring staff and restoring some services. The new hours will be Monday and Wednesday 10 am – 2 pm; Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10 am – 6 pm; and Saturdays from 10 am – 2 pm. We are hoping that as we get closer to summer we will be able to bring on additional staff and expand hours further as more people are vaccinated.
