A change to the amount of trash that can be discarded at the county’s waste-collection sites has sparked criticism from residents.
According to Gilpin County, the yards total, with an estimated savings of $68,000.
One resident commented on social media: ‘That’s a significant cost. Lost revenue? There will be more trash around our National Forests. Nicely done, Gilpin County.’
